Asheville Scottish Rite The Asheville Scottish Rite, found at Asheville Masonic Temple Co, 80 Broadway St in Asheville, NC has a history of supporting the surrounding community. Our members cover a range from east Tennessee towards the Charlotte area and everything in between. Masonry has many facets and many reasons that good men join, a major endeavor of Masonry is "Charity".

The Card In 2007, an idea was reignited. The idea to have a discount card is not a new concept by far, but it was a new concept to our area of Freemasonry. In 2008, work on the first card began. Gathering businesses that were charity minded because they know a community that supports them, needs to be supported in return. Most of the businesses gathered were local owners, they too, struggling with the bad economy with layoffs and low income like the rest of Western NC.

The idea of the Scottish Rite Discount Card is three fold

1 - Help local and state charities. The Official Charity of the Scottish Rite is Ritecare. This is a national program with local clinics (3 in fact) in NC. 2 - We endeavor to help businesses, most especially mom and pop businesses, the ones that make up the majority of our communities. The card itself, unlike many of our competitors, is a free program for local businesses. We work to make sure the discounts provided do not hurt the income of the business. If we find that a business is killing its own livelihood to help us, we will take them out of the program. Since there is no investment by the participating business they are able to offer better incentive to potential and repeat customers and they are able to do this without any effect to their current, past, or future budget. 3 - You. You are the customer, and we endeavor help you save money. Our business participants can't believe that we want nothing in return and are more than happy to pass that savings directly to you. We take care of the advertising and all their worries lie on their product and/or service. Now really, do you want to have to pay for your product and their ability to let you know about it?
